Notes

  • The 2006 version can be installed on the same computer as versions V5 or V6. No prior uninstalling is needed.
  • The information on any modifications in the program (data conversion) can be found in the help [?] section of TB-DECO (ADV) 2006, under: Operation (Use) •••> 1 Introduction/Updating old programs.
Conversion of Machine databases
  1. Make a backup copy of your machine database file (*DBM) in a "backup" directory, for example in C:\Backup.
    The machine database files are located in: C:\Deco2000\Machines\
    TB-DECO (ADV)

  2. Install TB-DECO (ADV) 2006.

  3. Convert the *.DBM files to *MACH following the instructions below: :
    • Open your program TB-DECO (ADV) 2006.
    • Click : File •••> Machine manager
      TB-DECO (ADV)

    • Click: Add machine
      TB-DECO (ADV)

    • Open the directory containing the old machine databases to convert :
      (C:\Deco2000\Machines\)
    • Select the file type: Machines (*.DBM)
      TB-DECO (ADV)

    • Select and open the *.DBM file to convert.
      TB-DECO (ADV)

    • Save the new machine database as a *.MACH type
      TB-DECO (ADV)

    • Make sure that the operation was completed successfully
      TB-DECO (ADV)

TB-DECO 2006: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Tornos\DECO_ADV\Machines.

Part conversion

The files are in: C:\Deco2000\Parts

In TB-DECO (ADV) 2006 :
  1. Open a part of version 6 (*.DBP type)
    TB-DECO (ADV)

  2. Save the part in *.PART type

  3. Check the headers of the part window:
    One should contain the name of the file with *.PART extension and the other with *.MACH extension

  4. Generate the program (key F7 or F8 on the keyboard)

  5. If necessary (alarms or other reasons) change the data and operations related to importing old programs (see the comment at the beginning of the page)

  1. Ouvrir une pièce de la version 6 (type *.DBP)

  2. Sauvegarder la pièce en type *.PART

  3. Contrôler les en-têtes de la fenêtre pièce :
    L'un doit contenir un nom de fichier avec une extension *.PART et l'autre avec une extension *.MACH

  4. Générer le programme (touche F7 ou F8 du clavier)

  5. Si nécessaire (alarmes ou autres), modifier les données et opérations liées a l'importation d'anciens programmes (voir remarque, en début de page).
