Set-up Engineer (m/f) - Moutier, Switzerland

Introduction

For our department Process Engineering, we are seeking for a Set-up Engineer (m/f) whose mission will be to implement highly complex set-ups and the tuning of single-spindle and multi-spindle machines in accordance with customer’s specifications for the set-up and testing, that is:

- Preparing and installing machines and their devices

- Implementing set-up projects in cooperation with the Process Engineer; the set-up of turning machines; manufacturing of parts in accordance with acceptance conditions of the specifications

- Carrying out and analyzing manufacturing tests of equipment and machines

- Supporting colleagues on technical matters to ensure delivery to the customer of a fully finalized process and set-up

- Training colleagues on metrology

Your responsibilities

- Applies and respects processes and rules in force

- Makes sure that specifications of set-up and testing projects are abided by

- Makes sure that machines and their devices operate correctly

- Ensures coherence of delivery dates of all elements necessary to prepare the machine (machine, devices, tooling, raw materials,..)

- Supports his/her colleagues on technical matters such as knowledge of the machine, turning, numerical control, testing parts, in addition to encouraging exchange of experiences between collaborators

- Participates to the various meetings on analyzing and launching new set-up projects or tests

- Based on his management’s request, may be delegated to visit a customer to solve a problem on a machine, or its set-up and/or to supply coaching

- Sets-up turning machines in accordance with the specifications of set-up or testing projects

- Looks after that, from a technical standpoint, set-up is ok for customer’s acceptance

Your profile

- Holder of a CFC degree as screw-machine operator, polymechanic

- Excellent knowledge on turning, its problems and methods

- Excellent knowledge on machines and on their operating

- Ability to communicate on technical matters in English and German

- Structured and methodic thinking

- Willingness to learn and communicate

- Quick to adapt to new technologies

- Human qualities are important
