Project manager in charge of orders (PMO) (m/w), Moutier, Switzerland

Introduction

Your task is to see the technical sales aspects of each project through to the end. Your role will involve working across different specialist areas within the organisation, and being the contact person for customers, from acceptance of the order through to the final payment.

Your responsibilities

At the project definition stage

• Playing the role of consultant at the quotation stage
• Delegating tasks and monitoring them in the various sectors involved in the project
• Planning the project (macro-planning)
• Assessing the risks involved in the project
• Confirming the price, deadline and quality required for the order

At the project implementation stage

• Taking responsibility for the entire project
• Coordinating and planning resources
• Providing information to those involved in the project (customer, project team, etc.)
• Monitoring the prices/deadlines/quality
• Identifying and assessing critical situations and taking the appropriate remedial measures

At the acceptance and delivery stage

• Deciding on exemptions for critical situations
• Approving delivery of the machine
• Signing and getting the customer to sign the final acceptance report
• Organising the project debriefing. Managing a team of engineers responsible for repairing and servicing machines, and ensuring that the work is carried out by the agreed deadline

Your profile

• Engineering qualification (or commercial qualification with a focus on engineering) from a university of applied sciences or equivalent
• Entrepreneurial skills
• Several years' experience in industry and in customer relations
• Dynamic, demonstrate team spirit, meticulous, demonstrate foresight and willingness to contribute ideas
• Results-orientated with excellent communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written French and German

Ideally, you will also have the following:

• Good command of other languages (English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese)
• Experience with the use of SAP software
• Project management experience
